Eddie Lui was born in Hong Kong in 1947. He completed the 3 years Certificate Courses in Art and Design at The University of Hong Kong in 1972. He participated and organized "Recent Work by Lui Fung Ngar" (Sponsored by Hong Kong Arts Centre, Goethe Institut Hong Kong, 1973); "Art Show - Hong Kong Arts Centre Inaugural Exhibition 1977" (Hong Kong Arts Centre, 1977); "Recent Works by Eddie Lui" (Andres Contemporary Art - The Netherlands, Singapore, 1977); "Flowering World: Paintings by Eddie Lui" (Exchange Square, Hong Kong 1999) and "Under The Same Sky: Recent Works by Eddie Lui" (Guangdong Museum of Art, 2001).
