Kan Tai-keung, was born in China in 1942. Kan received his art and design education in Hong Kong and has achieved international recognition by winning over 400 awards included: 1st Prize in the "First International Computer Art Biennale" in Rzeszow, Poland. Locally, he is the first painter-cum-designer elected as one of the "Ten Outstanding Young Persons" in 1979. Kan is also a well-known Chinese ink painter. His works are frequently exhibited in Hong Kong and overseas. Also, his works are included in museums and private collections in Hong Kong and ovevseas. Kan is always invited to serve in the Panel of Judges for many art and design competitions which include "Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial". He won the Urban Council Fine Art Award in 1981. He was awarded the Outstanding Achievements Award 1998. Honour of Bronze Bauhinia Star in 1999 and Outstanding Artists and Designers of the 20th Century in 2000.
