Chung Tai Fu was born in Hong Kong in 1956. He received a Bachelor's degree in Art from the Department of Fine Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1981 and a Master's degree in Fine Arts (Printmaking) from Tokyo University of Fine Arts & Music, Japan in 1986. He won the National Printmaking Award at the 10th National Printmaking Exhibition in Taiwan (1989) and the Printmaker of the Year Award by Hong Kong Artist's Guild Association (1992). His many exhibitions include "Print Exhibition of Chung Tai Fu" (Tiffany & Co. of New York Ltd., Hong Kong, 1991); "Hong Kong Artists Series - Chung Tai Fu" (Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1996) and "Migratory Bird / Hong Kong - Chung Tai Fu" (The American Club, Hong Kong, 1999).
