Under the “Let’s Travel Green” campaign launched by HSBC Insurance, the “Eco-blocks for Eco-schools” programme, a joint initiative of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and HSBC Insurance, has improved the environment and air quality of three schools with the use of the PolyU developed Eco-blocks since July 2008. To encourage more local schools to participate in this programme, HSBC Insurance will also launch an art competition entitled “Go Green @ School” in the second quarter of 2009.

“Go Green @ School” Arts Competition
Launched by HSBC Insurance, the “Go Green @ School” Arts Competition is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Hong Kong Institute of Aesthetic Education Limited with an aim to further promoting green concepts among students in Hong Kong. All primary schools in Hong Kong is invited to participate in the competition. Students can submit through respective schools their art pieces with an environmentally friendly concept to the Hong Kong Arts Centre by 31 October 2009. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of professional judges and the results of the competition will be announced on 31 December 2009.  The three winning schools will receive sponsorship for paving Eco-blocks on their school premises and the winning pieces will also be displayed for public viewing. (For details please refer to Chinese version.)
