David Campton’s allegorical drama Us and Them is a lively romp through the themes of next-door neighbours and basic human impulses, involving dialogue, mime, and physical theatre. It explores the age-old question of conflict between nations, tribes, or states. A modern-day mystery play with symbolic characters and an important lesson to be learnt, it is highly entertaining and also great fun to stage. There are some interesting acting challenges for the young performers, who have to master the technique of split dialogue and create a whole universe of experience on a bare stage using... just themselves! All to answer the question: “Just who lives next door?”
Mac’s Missing Boot — Group BH1

Join Group F as they entertain you using a mixture of movement, poetry, and mime to bring to life typical Hong Kong street scenes and daily scenarios in their own unique way. Everyday situations that often go unnoticed are given a little extra twist, making this performance as fragrant as the harbour we all know and love!
Osiris and His Coffin — Group H

Osiris, God-ruler of Egypt, is good and just, but his evil brother, Set, wants the power of the throne. Set must be careful as Isis, Osiris’ wife, is distrustful and ever watchful of him. But Set comes up with an ingenious plan that ends in the demise of Osiris. Horus, Isis, and Osiris’s son, avenges his father’s death and restores balance in the kingdom.

This is one the Grimm Brother’s beloved stories about a village that learns that when they open their hearts and homes, magical things happen. When some strangers come to town looking for food, none of the villagers will give them any. Instead, they start to make their own soup with a very interesting ingredient! Sit back and relax as Group G act out this story to its surprising end!
Dance Turtle Dance — Group O

Down in the Caribbean the weather is nice and the water is blue and life can be pretty good. Turtle spends her days singing and dancing, until she finds herself in some sticky situations. Lucky for her, she’s quite clever and uses her dance floor skills to outsmart just about everybody!

George the Giant was scruffy. Quite the scruffiest giant there ever was! Unhappy in his scruffiness, he bought some new, terribly smart clothes. But with his kind nature and so many friends in need, will he be able to stay un-scruffy and the smartest giant in town for long?

With interventions from the Fairy King and Queen, the infamous Puck, a family of aliens, and a science experiment gone wrong, Hermione’s midsummer night is anything but ordinary.
The Carvings at Big Wave Bay — Group W

Four friends who live on Hong Kong Island decide to go down to Big Wave Bay for the day. They venture up the cliff and find ancient rock carvings. Suddenly a storm hits and the gang retreats to a little cave. The storm gets more and more ferocious and they light a fire. They see the cave is full of carvings. They draw their hands along the lines of the carvings and find themselves on an adventure which takes them through different times in Hong Kong. Join Group W as they meet Cheung Po-tsai the pirate and find themselves in a race against time to get back to the cave!

This masterful story by William Steig was honoured with the 1970 Caldecott Medal as the “most distinguished American picture book for children”. It is a magical story with well-crafted characters, a beautiful world of nature, and abundant love. Sylvester is a loveable, sweet little donkey who is fond of collecting pebbles of unusual shape and colour. One rainy day he finds quite an extraordinary one — a magic pebble! In a moment of fright, Sylvester asks his magic pebble to turn him into a rock but then he cannot hold the pebble to wish himself back to normal again. Come and join us! You never know… you might just find your own magic pebble during the show!

Group N presents an anarchic vision of two classics: Cyrano de Bergerac and Pride and Prejudice. It’s white! Transparent! Blue! Water can be anything really, don’t you think? We can drink it! We can clean ourselves with it or play and water our friends with it! We can swim and have fun in it! Water is vital to us and so much fun!
This show is an interpretation of how we see water and what we can do with it. Each child has shared their ideas about water and will present these to you.

REAL WITCHES dress in ordinary clothes and look very much like ordinary women. They live in ordinary houses and they work in ordinary jobs. That is why they are so hard to catch.”
This is the funny and imaginative tale of a seven-year-old boy who has a run-in with some real-life witches! Witches, as our hero learns, hate children. With the help of a friend and his somewhat magical grandmother, our hero tries to expose the witches before they dispose of him.

Everybody knows that a witch’s cat is black all over with glowing green eyes but have you ever heard of a witch’s cat with blue eyes and one white sock? Cast out by the Witch, Gobbolino longs to be a humble kitchen cat, so he embarks on a great adventure to seek out his heart’s desire. Told through the clever use of mime, puppetry, and simple narration, Group S will use all the skills they have learned this year to bring this enchanting story to life.

We have been so dazzled by the heroes that we have forgotten about the heroes behind the scenes — the servant boys and chambermaids. Join Group T as they take you off stage, at Troy!
Mowgli’s Jungle Journey — Group D1

Mowgli enjoys his last adventure through the jungle on his way to the man village, meeting his animal friends along the way! Marvin the Monkey Drummer and the Pot of Truth — Group P

Something’s not right in the village of Level Middling. It’s already half past a quarter to and the sun has forgotten to rise, all the villagers are late for breakfast and Marvin’s Monkey Drum is missing! In fact all the drums in the village have been stolen. Can Marvin, Perses and the gang find the drum and wake up the Sun in time for breakfast? The Animal Band — Group M2

This play is adapted from the story by Annette Smith and based on the Grimm’s folktale, Town Musicians of Bremen. Through song, dance, and narrative action, Group M2 tell the story of a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster who were abandoned by their owners. Through wit, bravery, and resourcefulness, they manage to outsmart a gang of robbers, and in the end, find themselves a new home, where they live happily for the rest of their days.
The Giant’s Garden — Group I

One cold snowy winter’s day, a group of young friends finds the most spectacular garden, perfect to play in throughout the Christmas break. However, when the giant returns from his holiday to find his garden plagued with children, they are soon scared away and forbidden to enter ever again, leaving them with no choice but to spend the winter indoors. Follow a magical journey through a constant winter as the seasons forget to change and find out if the angry giant ever gets his comeuppance for being so selfish! Will the children find somewhere new and safe to play? Will summer ever come to the giant’s garden?
