A work by Spike Jonze, director of Being John Malkovich, features one of the most influential skateboarders in history, demonstrating his skills on a bicycle. In the buzzing city of New York, kids from the Queens district cycle around on their manually converted stereo bikes, kicking off the film with singing, dancing and partying fun. Then with a change of ambience begins a bike-inspired romance; cyclist boy meets girl and both pedal around Brooklyn together, passion ending in a broken heart when girl takes off with her newfound cyclist lover. More ironical is the delivery boy’s tenacious hold of his crashed bike, which he drags along rather than ride on as he is sweating through his delivery mission. Mission accomplished, the nightmare begins… Let’s get on the bike and explore every corner of the hilarious city of New York!
