Job Title Senior Programme Officer (Ref No.: SPO-MI)
Job Description


Major Responsibilities

•    Coordinate art projects, film festivals, film screenings, art exhibitions, school projects, etc.

•    Implement PR and promotional strategies, publicity collateral and media events

•    Support in curatorial and development of moving images programmes

•    Support in proposals and reports preparation

•    Carry out ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned


Requirements

•    University degree holders preferably relevant to film, media arts, creative media and cultural studies.

•    A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in film festivals, education projects or event management.

•    Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, well-organised and able to work independently

•    Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese and knowledge in Putonghua is preferable

•    Proficient in MS Office, technical knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator and film/video production is a plus

Job Title Part-time Ushers
Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Provide ushering and front of house service in theatres, assist in house rules and regulations enforcement.
2. Perform effective communication with patrons, guests and venue hirers.
3. Assist in crowd control to ensure smooth running of events and activities.
4. Handle enquiries and provide high standard of customer services for venue visitors
5. Assist in facilities management for maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all venue users.
6. Update signage / poster/ publicity material for the public in the premises.
7. Assist with other functions as instructed by Duty Manager.


Requirements:

1. Holder of HKDSE or above with relevant experience in customer services is an advantage.
2. Pleasant, energetic, extrovert and willing to help customers.
3. Good communication skills with proficiency in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
4. Required to work on weekdays’ evenings as well as in weekends and public holidays.
5. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job Title Senior Project Coordinator (Contract-based; 9 months) (Ref No.: SPC-CHB)
Job Description

The main duty of the post will be responsible for organizing a series of comics and animation programmes including touring exhibition, talks etc. to be held by Hong Kong Arts Centre & Comix Home Base (“CHB”) under the supervision of the Programme and Operation Manager.


Job duties:

  • To plan and monitor coordination, schedule and budget of the designated exhibition and related programmes;
  • To ensure coordination internally and externally to meet objectives of programmes;
  • To prepare promotion plan for the designated programmes;
  • To handle art administration work and prepare periodic reports;
  • To develop the network and constructive relationship with the participants in the licensing market; and
  • To manage the designated programmes in such a manner that helps to enhance arts appreciation and to strengthen the audience base for Hong Kong Arts Centre and Comix Home Base.


Requirements:

  • University graduate with minimum 2 years of relevant and solid experience. Knowledge in local and overseas comics and animation development will be an advantage;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both Chinese and English;
  • Good interpersonal skills, well-organised and able to work independently;
  • Able to work under pressure with multi-tasking ability;
  • Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently, meticulous and well organized;
  • Proficiency in PC operations e.g. MS based applications, Chinese Word Processing;
  • in Photoshop and Illustrator software will be an advantage

Responsibilities

  • To provide technical support for PC and Mac
  • To provide technical support for sites LAN and WiFi networking

  • To update and maintain inventory records of computer hardware and software
  • To perform physical health check for DC, DV, project and multimedia equipment


Requirements

  • Diploma holder or above in Computing or related disciplines or at least 1 year’s solid working experience in related field
  • Self-initiative & able to work independently
  • Having good communication skills is preferable
  • Knowledge in Windows server
  • Knowledge in Mac OSX
  • Knowledge in HTML5
  • Experience in Linux platform
  • Experience in Apache, PHP and Mysql
  • Interest in website or graphic will be an advantage

Job Title Part-time Customer Service Officer (Ref: PT-CSO)
Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Work as receptionist and shop keeper in the Comic Home Base Information Centre
  2. Handle customer enquiries and provide information to venue visitors.
  3. Maintain smooth daily operation including opening and closure of the shop, managing product display, answering enquiry calls.
  4. Perform sales transaction and inventory management
  5. Assist with in-house events and activities if necessary.



Requirements:

  1. Holder of HKDSE or above with relevant working experience in customer service, previous experience in working as lobby receptionist, retail shop or cashier is a definite advantage
  2. Outgoing, tactful, and have a friendly and helpful personality
  3. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and CWP
  4. Ability to work independently, flexibly and under pressure
  5. Good communication skills with proficiency in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  6. Willing to work on shift; including weekends and public holidays.
  7. Immediate availability is preferred

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • To provide administrative and logistic support to Academic Programme Administration Team, Academic Staff, and students;
  • To administer School programmes / courses (ie. academic award-bearing programmes)
  • To handle programme / course enquiries
  • To provide operational support to School functions and events
  • With work location mainly at the School’s Chai Wan Campus (at Youth Square).


Requirements:

  • Degree Holder with preferably 1 year of working experience
  • Good communication and writing skills in English and Chinese, proficiency in PC operation
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, independent and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Interest in art or relevant experience in art-related or tertiary education field will be an advantage



The appointment is on one-year term, and is to be renewed subject to mutual agreements and operational needs.
