Job Title Officer - Venue Operation (Ref: OVO)
Job Description


The Officer – Venue Operation is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HKAC Art Shop, his/her responsibilities are as follows:

Responsibilities:

  1. Offer quality sales service to all customers
  2. Communicate with artists for consignment to achieve a profitable sales revenue
  3. Prepare consignment agreements
  4. Perform sales transaction and take inventory control  
  5. Maintain smooth daily operation of the shop by supervising part-time Art Shop Assistants
  6. Handle visitors enquires and provide information for all venue visitors
  7. Organize and execute the HKAC Art Shop Inspiration series and other workshops


Requirements:

  1. Holder of HKDSE or above with minimum of 2 years of working experience in customer service, previous experience in working as lobby receptionist or retail sales is a definite advantage
  2. Outgoing, tactful, and have a friendly and helpful personality
  3. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and CWP
  4. Ability to work independently, flexibly and under pressure
  5. Have good communication skills in Cantonese, English and Putonghua
  6. Non office hours work, 5 working days per week
  7. Immediate availability is preferred


Terms of Appointment:
The appointment will be on a one-year contract upon job offer.  Reappointment of two years contract and thereafter permanent term will be offered to the eligible staff member subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Job Description


Responsibilities                                                                                                                

To lead Public Art team in implementing project by –

  1. Reporting to the Programme Manager in planning, managing and executing the project;
  2. Developing proposal and strategies in promoting public art in HK;
  3. Leading the team in delivering the art education and outreach aspect of the project;
  4. reparing report and presentation for updates and communication to sponsors and project partners;
  5. Attending project management meeting with landlord, Govn’t officials and sponsors;
  6. ing duties as required by the Programme Manager.


Requirements                                                                                                         

  1. Degree holder or above with 7 years of relevant experience in arts management, programming or production.
  2. nowledge in the local and international contemporary art scene (visual art, sculpture, performing and public art) is desirable.
  3. Experience in art outreach, education and audience development is a plus.
  4. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  5. Detail-minded, strong presentation and communication skills.
  6. Pro-active and welcome challenge, willing to work flexible hours.

  1. Managing and executing project in artwork commissioning, production and hosting residency;

  3. Coordinating with client(s), artists, and vendors as well as Marketing, and Venue Department;
  4. Preparing progress report to funder and supporting contract administration;
  5. Running budget scenarios and oversee project finance and schedule;

  1. Degree holder or above with 5 years of relevant experience in arts management, programming or production.

Responsibilities
                                                                                                                

To join the Public Art team in implementing projects by –

  1. Supporting the Assisting Manager in monitoring project milestones, budget, exposure and reporting to funders;
  2. Develop and organize audience engagement campaign throughout the project period;
  3. Follow up with Marketing initiatives and publicities;
  4. Coordinating the production of all publicities with the designer, printer and PR agency;
  5. Conduct and consolidate the evaluation and final report to the funders;


Requirements                                                                                                         

  1. Degree holder or above with 5 years of relevant experience in arts management, marketing, social science and/or business administration;
  2. Experience in marketing, public relation and audience engagement;
  3. nowledge in the local and international contemporary art scene (visual art and/or performing art) is desirable.
  4. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge and skill in audience survey, digital marketing tools and accounting.
  5. Art enthusiast, open-minded and team player.
  6. Independent, self-motivated and willing to work flexible hours.

  4. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with skill in graphic design software i.e Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign

Job Title Administrative Officer (Communication & Development) (Ref: AOCD)
Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Monitor and co-ordinate the content management of the School’s online channels / social media platforms including the School’s website, FB, IG and Youtube page.
  • Monitor and co-ordinate the production of the School’s publications and marketing collaterals.
  • Assist in organizing the School’s graduation exhibitions at BA / HD level and other School events.
  • Assist in student’s recruitment campaign and marketing activities including programme seminars / Education Expo etc.
  • Handle media relations and monitor the publicity records of the School
  • Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned
  • With work location mainly at the School’s Chai Wan Campus (at Youth Square).


Requirements:

  • Degree holder, majoring in Art / Visual Culture / Marketing / Communication or related discipline preferred.
  • 3 years working experience in art, tertiary education sector, marketing.
  • Passion in art education with basic knowledge of local tertiary education system.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Proficient / Knowledge in Adobe or Design / Video Editing applications such as Photoshop and AI, HTML, and CMS (Content Management System) / Adobe Premiere Pro / Adobe After Effect is a plus.
  • Good team player with pleasant and out-going personality.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, independent and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Immediate available preferred

Job Title Technical Officer (4 Months Contract) (Ref : CHBTO)
Job Description

 

The Technical Officer will be responsible for providing technical support for comics and animation exhibition and programmes to be held by Hong Kong Arts Centre & Comix Home Base (“CHB”) under the supervision of the Programme and Operation Manager.


Job duties:

  • To provide effective, professional technical service and support for the programmes, e.g. exhibition, screening, performance, talk, workshop, opening event, etc.;
  • To examine the programme arrangement in order to ensure safety and security of exhibits and visitors of programmes;
  • To monitor and maintain presentable, respectable venue condition;
  • To support venue design, production, setup and dismantle etc.; and
  • To coordinate with presenter, contractor, logistic company and other related parties.

Requirements:

  • Form 6 graduate or above, preferably with working experience in the field;
  • Knowledge and experience in exhibition installation and production work;
  • Mature, pleasant, helpful, good customer servicing skills;
  • Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently;
  • Adequate spoken and written language skills in Cantonese and English;
  • Proficiency in Photoshop / illustrator / Video Editing software will be an advantage; and
  • Work on shift; including public holidays.
