Co-presented by【Hong Kong Arts Centre】and【Kung Music Workshop】, Jockey Club Street Music Series will organize the Music Marathon on 16 December 2017 (Saturday) at 1pm-8pm at the Main Entrance of Hong Kong Arts Centre. Ms Wong Mei Yee, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Manager; Mrs Dominica Yang, Member of the Board of Governors, Hong Kong Arts Centre; Ms Connie Lam, Executive Director, Hong Kong Arts Centre; and Mr Kung Chi Shing, Founder of Kung Music Workshop will attend the concert.
Following the polite scheme of Jockey Club Street Music Series in 2013, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has sponsored HK$13m to support a 3-year programme of the Series. As a review of theJockey Club Street Music Series2015-2017 programme, we will held a 7-hour Music Marathon on 16 December. Along with several local bands with various styles, three music groups that have been supported by the Series to record their works will also share their songs with the audience in concert. The three music units include the jazz guitarist Han, the duo Olivier Cong & Bou Kwan Ying, as well as singer-songwriter Narbi.
The Jockey Club Street Music Series proactively fosters local music. The programme not only introduces to the public various kinds of music through concerts, but also organises music coaching workshops with professionals to nurture musicians of next generations. By these approaches, the programme encourages musicians to interact with all walks of life and further develop their music.
