We are thrilled to announce that the Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base) will be hosting the ‘Comix Pulse – Feel the Heartbeat of Tomorrow’s Comix’ from February to June 2026! Comix Pulse aims to spotlight the unique voices of emerging and existing comic and illustration book artists in Hong Kong. The programme provides a platform for artists to explore storytelling through visual narratives, culminating in a solo exhibition that showcases their creative process and final work. We are now officially calling all talented comic-illustration-artists to join us. Once you are selected, you will have the opportunity to present a solo exhibition of your works in the 2/F Comix Home Base of the Hong Kong Arts Centre and participate in public engagement activities (e.g., artist talks, workshops, live drawing). This is a fantastic opportunity to demystify your creative process and build meaningful connections between artists and the public.

• Date: February - June 2026
• Venue: 2/F Comix Home Base, Hong Kong Arts Centre (2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong)
• Exhibition Period: 2 weeks (Including set up and dismantling days)
• Handling Fee: HKD1,500/ week

Eligibility:

·         Open to all Hong Kong comics artists and illustrators. (Eligibility for Hong Kong Permanent Resident)

Application Guidelines:

• Application Deadline: 31 December 2025
• Required Materials: Applicant’s information, curatorial concept, artworks information (including title, artwork description, medium, dimension, year, price and images) and proposed activities.
• Acceptable art forms include original artworks, art prints, art toys, and IP-related products.

Notes:

• Comix Pulse has a jury panel that can accept or reject any application and has the final decision-making authority.
• Hong Kong Arts Centre will provide venue space (2/F Comix Home Base) for free. Participants are responsible for all other expenses (including exhibition production, materials, setup, dismantling, insurance, and transportation costs for delivering artworks to the Hong Kong Arts Centre)
• Participants are required to host a series of public engagement activities (e.g., artist talks, workshops, live drawing) in-person to interact with visitors during the exhibition period.
• Hong Kong Arts Centre will provide consignment support if participants wish to sell their artworks and products for art enthusiasts.
