Before the curtain rises and the applause begins, every unforgettable performance starts behind closed rehearsal-room doors.
Friends of Hong Kong Arts Centre have been warmly invited to an exclusive behind-the-scenes rehearsal by the Global Symphony Orchestra for the upcoming World Symphony Concert: A Night of Music Comedy.
This is a rare glimpse into the creative process behind the performance, as Maestro Gustav Ka Lok Mak and an acclaimed bill of soloists – including violinist Eunmi Lee, pianists Aliena Wong and Fiona Lee, and vocalists Samantha Chong and Colette Lam – put the finishing touches on a programme that blends humour with exceptional musicianship. Audiences can look forward to works by Offenbach and Saint-Saëns, Rossini’s beloved Cat Duet, and a playful Cantopop twist inspired by Persian Cat.
