In this create-your-own ceramics course, YOU are the master of the pottery universe.
Take a walk on the wild side by spotlighting the wondrous majesty of the animal kingdom. From the irresistible cuddliness of domesticated cats, dogs and bunnies to the prowess of a panther or the flamboyant plumes of a peacock…time to celebrate nature’s critters and creatures. Unleash your imagination, get your hands messy, and bring your creative ideas to life.
Students will:

Learn pottery hand-building and colouring techniques with various themes

Be inspired by daily life and create through observation

Gain skills in moulding clay by hand

Tutor
Joey Lai
Joey Lai graduated from the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) programme co-presented by Hong Kong Art School and RMIT University, majoring in ceramics. She is currently a part-time tutor at Hong Kong Arts Centre for Kids ceramics courses.
As a participant of several ceramic exhibitions in Hong Kong and overseas, Joey’s solo exhibitions to date are Tone on Tone in 2021 and Still Movements in 2014. She has also been in group exhibitions that include Intimacy in the Distance (2019), Asia Contemporary Art Show (2012) and Fine Art Asia (2011).
