Exhibition Introduction

As you step into the ‘Amusement Park’, you become a travel companion to the main character, ‘Galsy’ (膠西), embarking on a playful journey across different worlds. By blending spiritual wisdom with pure playfulness through the guidance of Akashic messages, this exhibition invites you on a lighthearted yet profound inner journey.

Weaving through a world of vibrant colours, Galsy possesses a transparent body capable of embracing any shape. Galsy symbolises the infinite freedom and power of choice born within each of us. Though we are temporarily bound by a finite physical form, Galsy gently reminds us that our true potential is limitless. In this chaotic world, may we all learn to embrace every possibility with ease, remain unattached to fixed forms, and fully immerse ourselves in experiencing every single moment of life. 

Through stories of Galsy in various scenarios, this exhibition creates a fun, interactive space. Here, you can look through Galsy’s eyes to rediscover your long-lost inner child and find a pocket of relaxation amidst the bustling city life. Life is meant to be as free and curious as Galsy. The ‘Akashic Records’ hidden within the exhibition serve as a gentle guide, accompanying you to understand yourself, untangle daily stresses, and move forward with renewed energy.

Character Introduction

Galsy is the laid back, always sporting a ‘Why so serious?’ smile, transparent little creature in the PlayPlayPlastic playground.

He/ She comes from the purest, untainted essence of the soul. Being transparent does not mean being empty; it is a state that is able to embrace all colours, shapes, and possibilities—symbolizing the infinite freedom and choices everyone naturally has, but only temporarily wrapped in a limited physical form. He/ She represents our original unlimited potential, able to easily accept all possibilities in a chaotic world without associating to any fixed form.

An emerging brand founded by Akashic Records instructor Ber and visual artist Eltie.

Utilising their signature character IP ‘Galsy’ as a medium, it boldly stitches

high-dimensional cosmic wisdom with local ‘Gau’ (playful mockery) humour. Rooted in a ‘Trial and Error’ ethos, the brand transforms galleries into spiritual playgrounds through trendy illustrations, behavioural guidance, and immersive installations. It aims to shatter the rigid frameworks of traditional spirituality and fine art, guiding modern individuals under systemic pressure to embrace playfulness and self-discovery, ultimately reuniting with their truest selves through laughter.

Akashic Ber (Ber)

Curator & Conceptual Artist.

A senior Akashic Records instructor with study-abroad background and global vision, bringing three years of spiritual teaching experience. Emphasising real-world physical experiences, she pioneered the ‘Akashic Records Study Tour.’ The year 2026 marks her pivotal career transition, fueled by a strong desire to break free from tedious, traditional classroom frameworks. She now uses contemporary art to decode and secularise profound cosmic and spiritual messages. Serving as the conceptual brain and spatial planner of the collective, she defines the exhibition’s spiritual backbone through interdisciplinary installations and behavioural guidance.

Eltie

Illustration Artist.

An illustrator passionate about self-exploration and inner dialogue. Creating with bright, rich colour palettes and a whimsical, childlike touch, their work beautifully blends healing with aesthetic design. Inspired by feline philosophy, the artist created a unique creature capable of freely adapting to any shape or form. They hope visitors can feel that the world is a vibrant playground—where we don't need to fully decode life, but simply experience it with an open heart.

About Comix Home Base

Comics and animation are important local pop culture and artistic creations. Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) has been dedicated to planning and organising diverse and unique activities to promote the arts and culture of comics and animation to the local community and abroad. Since 2006, HKAC curated Comix Home Base project (CHB), and has been working closely with comics artists, animators, industry practitioners and various government departments to promote local works. Over 1,000 ani-com-related events are hosted, such as exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances, publications, screenings, public arts, etc. In recent years, Comix Home Base has continued to proactively orchestrate cross-media collaborations and look for crossovers between comics and different media like public art, movie, dance, intangible cultural heritage, martial arts etc., expanding the creative space for comix. Outside Hong Kong, the footprints of Comix Home Base can be found overseas in France, Belgium, Britain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Russia, Indonesia, Portugal, Türkiye, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Austria, etc. This has facilitated the involvement of numerous Hong Kong comics artists in international collaboration projects.
