Job Duties

Requirements

  1. Diploma or above in Art / design or related disciplines. Possesses art or design background is a definite advantage. Fresh graduates will be welcomed

  3. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Photoshop, Ai
  4. Ability to work independently, flexibly and under pressure

Senior Programme Officer / Programme Officer / Programme Assistant [Ref: PO-ifva]


Job Duties

  • Plan, implement and coordinate annual competition, festival, carnival and arrays of events and projects including film screening, media art exhibition, master class, school programme, award ceremony, press event, etc. from beginning to project completion.
  • Contribute ideas in curating and developing short film and creative media programmes.
  • Assist in planning and engaging in education and outreach activities for local youths, minority groups, family, and general public.
  • Identify relevant project partners and collaborators, maintain communication and good relationship with internal and external stakeholders including government bodies, art affiliates, filmmakers, artists, media, venues, contractors, sponsors and partners.
  • Plan, budget, monitor and report on the project
  • Prepare proposals and reports
  • Ad-hoc projects and art administrative tasks assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • University degree holders preferably relevant to creative media, fine arts, film, media arts, technical arts, cultural studies, comparative literature, marketing, communication.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in film festivals, exhibition or event management. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Programme Officer. Fresh graduate with relevant training can be considered as Programme Assistant.
  • Knowledge and strong passion in film and/or media arts is a must
  • Technical knowledge in film/video is preferred
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both Chinese and English. Native Cantonese speaking is a must.
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise.
  • Detail-minded, and strong ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Creative, dynamic, flexible and self-motivated with excellent project management skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills, well-organized and able to prioritize and operate proactively.

Job Duties

  • To provide writing and editing support including press release, marketing collaterals, speeches, digital content

Requirements

  • Degree holder, majoring in Visual Culture / Marketing / Communication or relevant disciplines
  • With 3-5 years working experience in art, tertiary education sector, with digital marketing and graphic design knowledge is preferred
  • Passion in art education with basic knowledge of local tertiary education system
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Proficient / Knowledge in Adobe or Design applications such as Photoshop and AI, HTML, and CMS (Content Management System) is a plus

School Facilities Assistant (Part-time, required to work at 7:00pm to 11:00pm)【Ref No: PT-SFA (NS)】


Job Duties

  • Work in different campuses (Mainly in Chai Wan and Shau Kei Wan District)
  • Work in shifts (Depends on the school operation or course schedule , will work from 7 – 11 in the evening and on weekends and Sundays)
  • Equipment and venue settings for the school to prepare for classes and activities, including setting up furniture and equipment

Over the years, Hong Kong Arts Centre has offered opportunities to local and overseas university students to gain an exciting and fulfilling experience through our internship and volunteer schemes. Our internship programme provides an excellent opportunity for their students to explore their potential through hands-on work experience, gaining exposure to the different aspects in the operation of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. The learning experience is a stepping stone to a promising future in arts administration and arts education.

Are you art lovers? Do you have time to spare? Join the Hong Kong Arts Centre as a volunteer! Our volunteers come from a variety backgrounds, helping with events and programmes and providing administrative support to the Hong Kong Arts Centre. They are also trained to give docent tours. Volunteers can participate in various types of service, depending on their knowledge, interest and availability. No previous experience is required. Let us know your availability.
