Open Call for the Creators for Tomorrow 2026-27!
Creators for Tomorrow has entered its fourth edition this year. This open call aims to support and empower emerging Hong Kong artists, researchers, and curators, fostering the development of local creative practitioners.
The annual programme introduces the following new features:
- Introduction of a new ‘Curatorial’ category, inviting curators to submit curatorial proposals
- Increased funding amount of up to HK$ 90,000
- Addition of professional mentorship support from industry experts
- Launch of the ‘Jury’s Choice’ award, with a winner receiving an additional HK$ 20,000 to support overseas cultural exchange activities
Since its launch in 2020, the first edition of Creators for Tomorrow primarily funded visual arts exhibition projects. In 2023, the second edition expanded the scope to include research projects, benefiting independent researchers. In 2024, the third edition further broadened the funding to cross-disciplinary projects, supporting a wider range of art practitioners.
The Hong Kong Arts Centre is now open for applications for the fourth edition. We warmly welcome artists, researchers, and curators who wish to realise their creative ideas to apply. The programme has no restrictions on theme, medium, or educational background. We look forward to receiving bold and innovative proposals from creative minds!
